It is important that you configure your Proxee® for the way you want to watch TV.

You may only need a Proxee® (no cable). A Proxee® may provide all the programming you want from the internet - your favorite programs and premium movies through sources like Hulu and NetFlix. 

You may want to add a digital aerial and a basic tuner to watch and record local broadcast stations. To get live local programming (e.g., news and community service programs) you can access the high-definition signal broadcast in your area by local ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox and PBS stations.

Some people want basic cable.  You may need Proxee®, a basic tuner and basic cable if you like to watch: 
 

• Live news and local TV programming and digital aerial doesn't work well where you live OR
  
  
• Content that is only available on basic cable and cannot be accessed on the web (e.g., live, streaming CNN news or ESPN sporting events).

Note that basic cable shows (those that are not encoded) are not usually offered in high definition.

You may need premium cable. You may need Proxee® and premium cable (with the Premium Tuner) if you like to watch: 
 

• Shows that are only offered on premium cable and are not available on the web (e.g., special sports viewing options) OR
  
  
• Premium cable shows at the time they are broadcast on cable (even though there are delayed web options).
